FTP / SFTP

We accept connections using both FTP and SFTP.

What is FTP?

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a way of transferring files between computers. There are many clients that support FTP, some of which are listed below.

What is SFTP?

SFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol. It is similar to FTP except it encrypts all the data that is being sent and connects on a different Port to FTP. This means it sometimes requires a different client application to access SFTP servers.We recommend using SFTP over FTP as it provides encryption and other enhancements over FTP including simpler/zero Corporate Firewall configuration.

How do I connect to FTP?

In your FTP client of choice enter: www.dmgmediasend.co.uk as the host. The username is a combination of the publication you wish to upload to and your username you created when registering. The password is the same as you created during registration (or have subsequently updated to).

How do I connect to SFTP?

In your SFTP client of choice enter: www.dmgmediasend.co.uk as the host and 22 for the port (default for SFTP). The username is a combination of the publication you wish to upload to and your username you created when registering. The password is the same as you created during registration (or have subsequently updated to).

Example Publication + Username combination:

You will need to substitute your Username with <Publication Code>-<Username> (hyphen between the two parts)

e.g.: If sending to Daily Mail:

fred.bloggs@acompany.com -> DMI-fred.bloggs@acompany.com

PUBLICATION TITLE PUB CODE EXAMPLE USERNAME
